DESIGN (WEB AND SOCIAL MEDIA)

Journalism has undoubtedly allowed my writing and communication skills to flourish, but it also has sparked an interest in an entirely new form of media: graphic design. The cover of an article is one of the most important elements in drawing in curious readers. Alongside photography, graphic design is a great way to promote an article or event on social media or to generate audience engagement.

Below are some of my designs to promote articles, Hatchie Headlines, and school events as well as other miscellaneous projects completed in my graphic design classes. Alongside making graphics for my articles and our newspaper website, I am also a member of my high school's Social Media Team, in which I create graphics for sporting or academic announcements to be pushed onto Pelahatchie High School's Facebook.
